Infos über Maglic (2.368m), Bosnien u. Herzegowina

Hallo zusammen,

ein Freund von mir, dzt. dienstlich in Sarajevo möchte den höchsten Berg von Bosnien und Herzegowina - Maglic 2.368m erklimmen.

Da mich sowas natürlich auch begeistert würde ich Ihn im August begleiten.

War von euch schon wer auf dem Maglic? Bin für alle Infos oder Tipps vorab schon mal dankbar!

Hi, I'm from Croatia, but I was on Maglic last year in september. It was one-day trip, 2 hours up, and 3 hours down, not by the same path. Technicaly, it is easy to reach the top. There is only one short part with "seile". The climb usualy starts on the eastern part of massive. The way is good "markiert". The views are excellent. If you are lucky, from the top you can see Adria. The state border between Bosnia and Monte Negro goes very close to the top, and if you like to visit Trnovacko Lake (that is visible from the top), you have to descend in Monte Negro. Lake is on cca 1500m above the sea, it is very nice. Then trough the forest, and across valley, again in Bosnia to the first sheperds houses where it will bi nice to arrange a car waiting for you. I mean, it will be very, very good to have a man who knows that region well. There are no "huette", or villages nearby, and you have to know, although people say there was no war operation in that region, I wouldn't be sure to walk out of paths. Our guide was a guy from Sarajevo, mountaineer with experience. I can recomend him.

thank you for the information and link to the beautiful pictures.
I talk with my friend in Sarajevo, he will check the transport and a car. We fixed a mountaineering weekend in August - I think it will be very hot, but anyway this was our next possible free weekend.

Jahre später ... warst du damals im August am Maglić? Hat alles geklappt? Hast du vielleicht ein paar Tipps für uns, wir würden evtl. Ende April raufgehen.

ja, bin beim zweiten Anlauf auf den Maglic gekommen -

Nach der Abzweigung von der asphaltierten Strasse war damals schon fast nur für Geländeautos mit genug Bodenfreiheit zu empfehlen.

Wenn du es von Sarajevo als Tagestour machen möchtest ist es eine lange Autofahrt und ein anstrengender Tag!
