Ich habe eben diese Nachricht direkt aus dem Gebiet Xinjiang (Gebiet Mustagh Ata - West-China) bekommen:
I think it is good news to tell you that there were no SARS patients found in Xinjiang by far.
One person was doubted to be SARS patient in Urumqi, finally he was watched not to be and he had left the hospital.
Next month the goverment will continue to issue invitation for visa application in Xinjiang.There won't be any problem to get the invitation if they won't travel to Beijing recently.
Xinjiang is far west from Beijing. Passengers from Beijing and Guangdong etc were carefully checked of the body temperature etc. Any passengers from these regions are kept in a camp to watch for 2 weeks if they have the symtoms.
Now less and less people were affected in Beijing. I hope the situation will become favorable soon.
Kashgar is a border city and Muztagh Ata lies just 30km to Tajikstan boundary and 200km to Pakistan and Afganistan border.
Anywhat I think it is very safe for climbing groups in the mountain area.
Muztagh Ata BC will be more comforatble under my management. We are planning to establish a room for shower.
Do you think climbers can rent to use yurts at BC ? Now I'm talking to train my cooks so that they can do better cooking.
